Jet Wash 03:35
This is the waking up This is the long lie in This is the best of luck And the rest of the morning spins On needles and pins This is the cheap red wine This is the crazy pave This is the soft she shine at the base of the seventh wave It could be one of those days And a river flows between our toes And it seems to me this very nearly goes to show That in life, things are very rarely right If we could only remember the last lines ...? This is the fizzy pop This is the jumping Jack This is the nearest stop to the top of the mad man's hat Hands up who know about that? This is the changing shape This is the jet wash This is the right mistake to make at the lowest cost There could be nothing lost ... And a river flows between our toes And it seems to me this very nearly goes to show That in life, things are very rarely right If we could only remember the last lines ...? Is it normal that we want our freedom? And is it normal to play punk for Sweden? That's something to believe in Something to believe in

Behind the curtains of the lunar girl Lies the focus of her little world Behind the curtains of the lunar girl, it's all It's all so so And did we see you smile my dear? And did we see you smile my dear? Oh dear It's all So narrow And kind of hard to follow All she wants from you is the right to orbit you All she wants from you is the right to orbit you Behind the curtains of the lunar girl Things are moving in a dreadful curl Behind the curtains of the lunar girl, it's all It's all so so And did we see you smile my dear? And did we see you smile my dear? And just once in a while my dear You're very nearly really here Oh dear my dear

Some Heaven 04:15
No one believes a word you say This really is a very silly masquerade I think your heading for some heaven I think you'd love call it heaven You will be the death of you And there's nothing you can do I'm looking out on your parade Such shabby uniforms Such a shabby shame I think your heading for some heaven I think you'd love call it heaven You will be the death of you And there's nothing you can do

about

This Is The Long Lie In

Curtains second EP - direct pop impetus and ethereal gentility rub shoulders. Songs about optimism and longing...

"There was a family in a book by Italo Calvino who lived in an attic room that was overlooked by a giant phosphorescent Cognac sign. Flashing on and off, it burnt into the night, so that every twenty seconds of stars and moon were followed by twenty more of neon Cognac. The eldest son, a melancholy youth, was transfixed by the letter G. Or to be more exact, by the dark intervals that punctuated the letter G’s illumination. For it was only during these intervals that he could make out the features of a girl, who sat at the window of a garret far beyond the Cognac sign. Sometimes he would smile in her direction, but her response was always lost. The G would come fizzing back to life and the Lunar Girl would dissolve onto the sky-glow of the city. Getting out of bed in the morning was looking more and more unlikely… "

about

Curtains England, UK

Stemming from the brief pre-Britpop flurry of experimentally minded 'non-retro' indie groups. Curtains employed direct pop impetus layered with electronic textures. A hybrid artpop, or "ambient-punk" that related as much to the krautrock family tree, as it did to post punk, electro and techno.

Songs could be any (or all) of the following. Intimate, fizzy, lush, kooky, or full-on walls of sound!
